Synagogue Location in Upper town – Osijek

• Synagogue was built by Theodor Stern
• Architecture project is signed and date is 18th of May 1869
• Building started by Josip (Joseph) Oberson 26th of May 1869
• Records shows roof reconstruction in 1897.
• Architectural blueprints shows side objects in period 1924-1929
• On 13th of April 1941 it was robbed and set on fire by ustashas by one source and by other source it was birthday gift to Adolf Hitler
• Demolished in some period of 1953
• Map dated from 1954 shows that Synagogue is erased from map
• Map dated from 1957 for the first time shows present building
